The Mash Tun in Aberlour is the stylish result of an painstaking 18 month renovation project by Mark and Karen Braidwood. The hotel's four luxury rooms are beautifully decorated and named after distilleries - The Glenfarclas, The Glenfiddich, The Glenlivet and The Macallan. Likewise their luxury suite is named The Aberlour.
They offer "Good food and accommodation in a family atmosphere". Fishing can be arranged on the River Spey, which flows past the hotel, as can shooting on nearby estates. The Whisky Bar is growing in stature and recently became the only outlet in the UK to take full set of 44 vintages of the Glenfarclas Family Casks, all of which are available to the whisky aficionado. The bar featured in BBC 4's Railway Walks programme where Julia Bradbury visited the bar and supped a malt with Mark and Karen, although her producer wouldn't allow her to sample some of the Glenfarclas range.

Mark's experience in the kitchens of London's fine dining scene guarantees excellence to his diners and the high quality of cuisine coming out of his kitchen is a welcome addition to the area's restaurant mix.
