The Highlander Inn is in the centre of the village of Craigellachie, the heart of Scotland's Malt Whisky Trail. With 5 bedrooms (all with en suite facilities), bar, "club room", outdoor patio, lounge, á la carte restaurant (tremendous food in both the bar and restaurant) and private, off-street parking, it truly is a great little place to stay when visiting this wonderful part of Scotland. There is a real log fire and there are leather sofas in the lounge. The hotel is open all year round and has a warm, friendly and relaxing atmosphere; a really cosy, hospitable "home from home".

The Inn was purchased in mid-2005 by Duncan Elphick, who was General Manager of the Craigellachie Hotel of Speyside for over 8 years until this move, together with his business partner Innes MacPherson, and co-Director and Bar and Whisky Manager, Tatsuya Minagawa.
The Highlander was awarded The Isle of Jura "Malt Whisky Bar of the Year" in the 2007 DRAM Awards. As a member of VisitScotland's Quality Assurance Programme, the Highlander has achieved a 3 Star Award.
