The winner of CAMRA's "Pub of the Year Highlands & Western Isles" award in both 2007 and 2008, The Anderson is that rare thing, an oasis. An oasis in a desert of mediocrity. Nothing is too much trouble, service is their raison d'etre. But what an oasis! A veritable cornucopia of liquid offerings! From 200 single malt whiskies, through 100 bottled Belgian beers and, over four years, some 140 cask ales have been offered - and enjoyed by The Anderson's discerning customers.

The Anderson's chef, Anne of that ilk, allows her Italian/American ancestry to flow through into her cooking. The result is Global cuisine, with Scotland's natural and indigenous produce shining through each dish's international ingredients.

Anne won not one, but TWO Bronze Awards in the Scottish Chef of the Year Awards, 2009: Scottish Gastro Pub of the Year and Gourmet Menu of the Year . Remember, in this competition, she was up against Scotland's finest chefs.
